About Robot Uncovered

We help people figure out which robot to buy, what else they'll need to make it work, and whether it's worth it — before they spend the money.

Why we exist

Robots are finally useful at home: they clean floors, scrub pools, mow lawns and help people stay independent. But buying one is still confusing. Product pages sell features, "best of" lists rank whatever pays, and almost nobody tells you about the reference station, the subscription, the 25-pound lift, or the company that might not be around in two years.

Robot Uncovered is built around one idea: buy the working system, not just the robot. For every recommendation we list the required add-ons, setup time, 3-year cost and limitations, so you can see the whole decision.

What we cover

We also track robots that aren't for sale yet (announced vs available) and robots that stopped working (Robot Graveyard), because both affect what you should buy today.

Who we are

Robot Uncovered is an independent, owner-operated publication based in the United States. We're not owned by a manufacturer or retailer. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting; a human owner reviews every page and is accountable for it. Pages carry the Robot Uncovered name rather than invented author personas.
